OUR STORY
Family-Owned
Sustainable Farming
Heritage Breeds
We are the Driskill family, and our story is rooted in resilience and renewal. In 2021, we began a new chapter by purchasing an old hazelnut farm that had been devastated in the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire. What many saw as loss, we embraced as an opportunity to breathe life back into the land, honor its history, and transform it into a thriving, working farm once again.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to restore this land with care and purpose, while providing locally sustainable meats, fruits, and farm products that nourish both our community and those beyond. Every step we take is guided by a commitment to stewardship, sustainability, and connection.
Nestled in Vida, Oregon, our farm rests along the picturesque McKenzie River and beneath the towering Cascade Mountains. It is here, surrounded by natural beauty and shaped by the spirit of renewal, that we continue to grow, create, and share the bounty of our land.

100% Pasture-Raised and Ethically-Teated Animals
We want our animals to live out happy and healthy lives.
This means at McKenzie Ridge Farms, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of farming. We practice rotational farming on our 37 acres. Our pigs are rotated on pasture plots every few months. We rotate poultry after the pigs to clean-up the pasture and promote healthier lands.
Our rabbits and smaller animals have ample room to roam, never housed in small cages, and always have access to fresh pasture. We are breaking the molds of older farming practices, showing that with the right farming practices there can be harmony between animal welfare and running a successful farm.
We invite you to explore our farm, learn about our heritage breeds, and experience the difference of sustainably-produced food.
